Inter Milan and Valentin Carboni will ink a new deal before the player makes the move to Olympique Marseille.

After weeks of negotiations, the two clubs have finally reached a full agreement over the transfer.

The 19-year-old will join the Ligue 1 side on an initial loan deal this summer. OM will have the option to buy the Argentine at the end of the season in an operation that would cost them around 36 million euros.

Nevertheless, Inter will still have a strong leverage on the player’s future thanks to a buy-back clause.

The Nerazzurri will have the option to reclaim the player’s services by repaying the sum Marseille splashed in addition to 5 million euros.

For his part, Carboni is reportedly excited about the opportunity to work under the guidance of Roberto De Zerbi. He considers it the right move to make at this early stage of his career.

But as FcInter1908 explains, only one bureaucratic step is missing before the completion of the transfer, and that is a contract extension.

Inter and Carboni have agreed to sign a new contract that would push back the deadline from 2028 to 2029.

Inter Milan & Valentin Carboni To Ink New Deal On Monday Ahead Of Marseille Move

This step will solidify the Italian champions’ stance in case the attacking midfielder were to return to Appiano Gentile next summer.

The source reveals that the signatures will ensue on Monday. Afterwards, Carboni will receive the green light to fly to France to complete his transfer to Marseille.

The teenager is one of the most exciting players to come out of Inter’s youth ranks in recent seasons.

He managed to impress last term while on loan at Monza, earning himself a call-up from Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni.

Hence, Carboni was a member of the Albiceleste squad that went on to lift the Copa America last month, albeit he played a limited role.
