Valencia defender Yarek Gasiorowski appreciates the interest of Inter Milan, but won’t force a move away this summer.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that the contacts between Inter and Gasiorowski’s agent have actually stretched back more than a month.

Gasiorowski is one of the players who has emerged on Inter’s shortlist for a defensive signing.

The Nerazzurri are ready to go after a player who can fill in on the left of their back three.

This is so that there is a backup for Alessandro Bastoni other than Carlos Augusto, whilst tjhe Brazilian has to play mainly at wingback during the extended absence of Tajon Buchanan.

Inter had looked to be on the verge of completing a deal for defender Juan Cabal. However, Juventus hijacked that deal, signing the Colombian.

That left Inter back at square one, and they have been in search of a defender ever since.

The likes of Zenit St. Petersburg’s Robert Renan and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior are reportedly among the Nerazzurri’s targets.

Links have also emerged to Dinamo Zagreb defender Mauro Perkovic.

And Gasiorowski is another target for Inter.

Yarek Gasiorowski Appreciates Inter Interest – But Won’t Force A Move Away From Valencia

According to FCIN, Inter already registered their interest in Gasiorowski a few weeks ago.

The Nerazzurri were in talks with Sergio Barila, as he is the representative of Josep Martinez. Goalkeeper Martinez joined Inter from Genoa last month.

And during the talks, Inter noted that Gasiorowski – another client of Barila’s – had also caught their eye.

The agent conveyed this to Gasiorowski.

And according to FCIN, Gasiorowski was very much happy to hear that Inter consider him a target.

But at the same time, the outlet report, the 19-year-old is not pushing for an exit from Valencia.

Gasiorowski only just broke into the Valencia first team over the latter half of last season. He would not mind staying and becoming a regular starter, proving his worth week to week.

If Valencia decide to sell Gasiorowski for financial reasons this summer then he would be happy to join Inter.

But the Spaniard will not force the hand of Valencia.

As FCIN note, there is also interest in Gasiorowski’s signature from other big clubs. As a versatile, pacy left-footed defender his profile is always in demand.

Meanwhile, Gasiorowski has a release clause in his contract with Valencia worth around 15 million. That could certainly become a factor in his situation.
