Record Belgian Pro League champions Anderlecht have reportedly joined the race to sign Inter Milan prodigy Issiaka Kamate.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, as reported by FCInterNews, the Belgian giants are ready to challenge Mirandes, Verona, and Palermo for Kamate’s signature.

Brian Riemer’s men have taken concrete steps to lure the 19-year-old away from Giuseppe Meazza.

They have approached Inter with a tangible proposal to land Kamate on loan with a buyout option.

On top of that, Anderlecht would be ready to include a buyback clause to convince the Nerazzurri to sanction a deal

Considering the youngster has yet to make a senior debut for the club, Beppe Marotta could accept the Belgian side’s proposal.

Kamate left his boyhood club, Motherwell, to link up with Inter in 2020.

He has since been part of the Primavera squad. However, Simone Inzaghi has tested out the highly-rated youngster during this pre-season.

Indeed, the Frenchman has been regular in Inter’s opening four summer friendlies.

He has fared reasonably well, leading several clubs to contact the reigning Scudetto holders over information for Kamate.

Anderlecht Present Concrete Offer for Inter Milan Prodigy Issiaka Kamate

Inter’s stance on Kamate remains uncertain. There’s no doubt the French whizz-kid possesses immense potential.

But competition for places at Giuseppe Meazza would scare some senior stars off, let alone a teenager.

Therefore, Anderlecht’s bid could be what the doctor ordered for both Inter and Kamate.

It’d allow the youngster to gain experience in top-flight football and showcase his value at the senior level.

Meanwhile, Inter would probably make some cash from the youngster’s exit while retaining the chance to re-sign him in the future.

On the other hand, Denzel Dumfries‘ contractual wobble could suddenly open some space for the talented wingback.

With the Dutchman unsure about Inter’s contract proposal, he could leave for Manchester United.

Dumfries’ potential exit could throw Kamate a lifeline in Lombardy.
