Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi has urged the club to complete more attacking signings due to injuries to Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic

According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, the Scudetto-winning manager is keen to strengthen his offensive options.

Inter signed Mehdi Taremi from Porto as a free agent at the start of July.

Though the Iran international enjoyed a superb start to Inter’s pre-season, he picked up an injury that will keep him on the sidelines for a few weeks.

Likewise, Arnautovic is in the treatment room after helping Austria reach the knockouts at EURO 2024.

Meanwhile, Joaquin Correa has fallen out of favor with Inzaghi following a dreadful season-long loan at Marseille.

Inter have been in the market for a new forward since the start of the summer.

However, the reigning Serie A champions must sell Arnautovic or Correa to make room for a new face in the frontline.

That has proved a daunting task thus far.

Both players have rejected approaches from foreign clubs, causing Inter a sizeable headache.

Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi Eager to Add to His Attacking Options & Wants Correa Out

It’s now a near certainty that Inter will not sell Arnautovic in the coming months.

But Correa could pack his bags despite rebuffing an approach from AEK Athens in July.

River Plate have emerged as a potential destination for the Inter flop. Yet, whether the former Lazio man would fancy a return to his homeland remains to be seen.

While waiting for Correa to find a new home, Inter keep an eye on Genoa talisman Albert Gudmundsson.

Unfortunately for the Nerazzurri, the Iceland international has drawn a concrete interest from Fiorentina.

Faced with Nicolas Gonzalez’s imminent departure, La Viola are in talks with Genoa to bring Gudmundsson to Tuscany.

Time is ticking for Inter as Correa continues to throw a spanner in the works.
