Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is reportedly desperate to add two more players to his well-knit squad before the August 31 deadline.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, in addition to a new centre-forward, Inzaghi wants to sign a new left-footed defender.

It’s no secret that Inter are on the lookout for a new striker.

Despite landing Mehdi Taremi, Inzaghi is eager to capture another attacker amid Joaquin Correa’s uncertain future at Giuseppe Meazza.

The reigning Scudetto holders are hellbent on cashing in on their outcast in the coming weeks.

Correa’s exit would facilitate the arrival of a new forward.

On the opposite side of the pitch, Inzaghi seeks a left-footed centre-back to allow Carlos Augusto to play exclusively as a left-back.

Augusto couldn’t display his full potential in his favourite position last term.

A lack of numbers at the back forced Inzaghi to deploy him as a central defender more frequently than expected.

Therefore, Inter are in the market for a new rearguard.

Inter Milan Coach Simone Inzaghi Wants Two More Players Signed This Summer

Another left-footed defender remains a priority for Inter.

Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck can alternate on the right in Inzaghi’s preferred three-man backline.

Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij should do the same at the heart of the Inter defense.

However, Alessandro Bastoni has no alternative on the left.

Former AC Milan and Torino star Ricardo Rodriguez was in Beppe Marotta’s crosshairs earlier this summer.

That hypothesis is now dead in the water. Rodriguez is one step away from joining La Liga outfit Real Betis.

As such, Inter must go back to the drawing board.

In attack, Albert Gudmundsson remains a hot name on Marotta’s shortlist.

But time is ticking for the Nerazzurri after Fiorentina accelerated their interest in the Icelandic ace to replace outgoing Nicolas Gonzalez.
