Inter Milan linked defender Yarek Gasiorowski is unlikely to leave Valencia this summer after recent remarks.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter are considering their options as far as signing a player for the back three.

This is because Carlos Augusto will have to play primarily or exclusively as a wingback next season considering the injury to Tajon Buchanan, and therefore cannot fill in in defense.

Inter had looked to be on the verge of completing a deal for defender Juan Cabal. However, Juventus hijacked that deal, signing the Colombian.

The likes of Zenit St. Petersburg’s Robert Renan and Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior are reportedly among the Nerazzurri’s targets.

Links have also emerged to Dinamo Zagreb defender Mauro Perkovic.

And Gasiorowski is another name that has reportedly been right in the mix on Inter’s shortlist of targets.

Inter Target Yarek Gasiorowski Unlikely To Leave Valencia This Summer

Despite being just nineteen years of age, Gasiorowski’s performances over the latter half of last season caught the eye.

The Spanish youth team international has looked ready to make the step up and become an important part of the Valencia starting eleven.

Or alternatively, Gasiorowski could get a big move this summer.

Inter have certainly been considering the idea of luring the Spaniard away from the Mestalla.

Gasiorowski is a left-footed defender with the right profile to be an understudy to Alessandro Bastoni.

And the 19-year-old is right in the age range that Inter owners Oaktree Capital are seeking. They want to build the club’s project around investing in young players.

But according to the Corriere Gasiorowski is in no hurry to leave Valencia.

Yesterday the teenager made remarks to the effect that he sees his current club as the right place for him to continue growing.

Therefore, Inter may not be able to tempt Gasiorowski on a move this summer.
