Anderlecht are unlikely to sign young Inter Milan winger Issiaka Kamate, but newly-promoted Liga Portugal side AVS are keen to.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInter1908. They report that there are a couple reasons why the Belgians have cooled their interest in Kamate.

Kamate is certainly likely to leave Inter this summer.

The Frenchman has been a part of the Nerazzurri’s youth team setup since 2020.

The 20-year-old has played for Inter at various youth team levels. Last campaign he played for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera or Under-19 team.

Kamate has yet to make a competitive senior appearance for Inter.

However, the Frenchman has trained with the first team, and has made appearances in the Nerazzurri’s preseason friendly matches under Simone Inzaghi this summer.

A versatile player, Kamate can play in both attacking and more defensive wide roles. He has featured at wingback in preseason.

Anderlecht Unlikely To Sign Issiaka Kamate From Inter – AVS Keen

There has been some transfer interest in Kamate this summer.

Hellas Verona had registered an interest in the 20-year-old. He was reportedly part of the talks between the Gialloblu and the Nerazzurri regarding defender Juan Cabal, before Cabal joined Juventus.

Then, there has been Anderlecht.

The Belgian side have been in talks with Inter to try and sign Kamate.

But according to FCIN1908, there are a couple of reasons why a move to Anderlecht would be relatively unlikely for the 20-year-old.

Firstly, Inter want to insert a buyback clause in the deal. Anderlecht do not want there to be such a clause if they’re to buy Kamate.

Then, there is the fact that the Belgian club would plan to initially have Kamate play with their B-team in the second division.

That is not what Kamate wants. The Frenchman wants to make the move to a club where he’ll get regular experience playing senior football.

Therefore, the likelihood of a move to Anderlecht now looks quite low for Kamate.

However, according to FCIN1908, newly-promoted Liga Portugal team AVS have shown an interest in Kamate.

And unlike Anderlecht, AVS would be happy to sign Kamate on an initial loan deal or with a buyback option.

Moreover, the Portuguese side would offer a place in the first team right away. That would certainly be in line with what Kamate is hoping for.
