Valencia are locking down the future of teenage defender Yarek Gasiorowski, as Inter Milan have looked ready to splash a big fee.

This according to Spanish outlet Marca, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri had been ready to pay 20 million to sign Gasiorowski – but Valencia have raised his release clause to 45 million.

Gasiorowski may only be nineteen years of age.

However, the Spanish Under-19 international has already been attracting significant transfer interest.

This has been particularly case after the final couple of weeks of last season.

Gasiorowski broke into the Valencia starting eleven over the final weeks of the campaign. And he certainly did not look out of place.

Gasiorowski’s profile is in demand for top European clubs.

The 19-year-old is a quick, versatile left-footed defender.

This has marked Gasiorowski as a target for Inter in particular.

Valencia Lock Down Yarek Gasiorowski With Inter Poised To Make Big Offer

Inter have been in search of a defensive signing.

This would be to cover for the absence of Tajon Buchanan at wingback, allowing Carlos Augusto to play on the flank.

The profile the Nerazzurri have been seeking is a young defender capable of playing on the left of their back three.

Inter had reportedly been on the verge of a deal for defender Juan Cabal before he instead joined Juventus.

That would have represented a move for a younger profile.

Meanwhile the likes of Zenit St. Petersburg’s Robert Renan, Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, and Genoa’s Johan Vazquez are also on the Nerazzurri’s radar.

Meanwhile, more recent links have emerged to Dinamo Zagreb defender Mauro Perkovic and Nantes teenager Nathan Zeze.

But Gasiorowski has been perhaps the profile that Inter have coveted most of all.

So much so that Marca report the Nerazzurri have shown a willingness to make a 20 million offer that would trigger a release clause in the teenager’s contract with Valencia.

However, Los Che have no intention of losing their grip on Gasiorowski this summer.

For that reason, Valencia have triggered an option to extend Gasiorowski’s contract. This sees the release clause for the Spaniard rise to 45 million.
