There is no injury to Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni despite a minor scare.

This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They also report that the likes of Mehdi Taremi, Marko Arnautovic, and Hakan Calhanoglu will all be back in full training tomorrow.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has been holding his breath regarding the fitness of defender Bastoni.

The 25-year-old was part of the Nerazzurri squad that travelled to London yesterday for a friendly match against Chelsea.

However, Bastoni did not play in that match. He was not in the starting eleven, and did not come off the bench despite the fact that Inzaghi made plenty of substitutions.

This certainly raised a couple of alarm bells. There is little doubt that Bastoni would have been unused in that friendly unless it was fitness-related.

And indeed, reports indicated that Bastoni has been dealing with a minor knock.

It is nothing more than a bit of muscular fatigue for the Italian international. However, this was enough that Inzaghi decided not to risk him – and a slight worry in view of the Serie A opener against Genoa on Saturday.

No Injury For Inter Defender Alessandro Bastoni Despite Minor Worry

According to FCIN, however, there is no injury to Bastoni.

The outlet report that the 25-year-old completed a full training session as normal with the rest of his teammates. He did not feel any physical problems during the session.

Therefore, there is no reason to think that Bastoni’s availability will be a problem on Saturday.

Meanwhile, FCIN report, all of Taremi, Arnautovic, and Calhanoglu trained individually.

That trio are all recovering from muscle injuries that they sustained during preseason.

FCIN report that the individual recovery training for all three went well. Therefore, they should be back in full training tomorrow.

Lastly, FCIN report, midfielder Piotr Zielinski continued to work on his recovery. And defender Stefan de Vrij was not on the pitch, as he instead underwent therapy for a thigh strain.
