Inter Milan trio Mehdi Taremi, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Marko Arnautovic will all be available for the team’s Serie A opener against Genoa.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Piotr ZIelinski and Stefan de Vrij will have to wait a little longer, however.

Inter are now just a handful of days away from their first league match of the season.

The Nerazzurri travel to Liguria to face Genoa on Saturday.

Inter have all their preseason friendlies behind them. They have been in training for right around a month, albeit with the squad filtering in piecemeal following the Euros and Copa America.

With the start of the campaign in sight Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is really starting to think about the starting lineup he will name at the Marassi.

And according to the Gazzetta, there is some good news for the coach.

Inter Trio Taremi, Calhanoglu & Arnautovic Fit For Genoa Serie A Opener

In preseason, Inter have seen a few players pick up muscle injuries as they’ve attempted to raise their physical condition.

That has created some doubts about who will be available against Genoa.

But according to the Gazzetta, there are three big names who Inter coach Inzaghi can count on.

In attack, Iranian international Taremi is back in full training. And the same is true of Arnautovic.

Therefore, Inzaghi will have a full complement of strikers at his disposal with that pair alongside Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

And former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Calhanoglu is also training normally.

The Turk had missed out on Inter’s friendly match against Chelsea as a precaution. But he’s ready for Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, midfielder Zielinski won’t be fit to face Genoa. But he’s targeting the second match of the season against Genoa.

And then defender Stefan de Vrij will be out for two or three matches at the start of the campaign with a thigh problem.

That is in addition to wingback Tajon Buchanan. The Canadian will miss a few months as his recovery from a broken leg continues.
