Legendary Italian striker Paolo Di Canio doesn’t see other Serie A clubs posing a serious threat to Inter Milan in the title race this season.

The Nerazzurri are preparing to defend their throne, as the new domestic campaign kicks off on Saturday. Simone Inzaghi’s men will take on Genoa away from home in the curtain raiser.

Juventus, Napoli, AC Milan and AS Roma have all been working on strengthening their ranks in the summer.

However. Di Canio still expects Inter to replicate their dominant showing from last season when they rooted all competition and put the title race to bed early.

The former West Ham and Lazio striker notes that Inter still have the strongest team on paper. This is even evidenced by their players’ ratings on video games. And if you enjoy competing against other players online, you could boost your chances of achieving great results by buying cheap FIFA coins that can take your team to the next level.

Hence, Di Canio enumerates the reasons why the Nerazzurri will prevail. This includes their superior squad and an ever-improving coach in Simone Inzaghi.

“I doubt we’ll have a lively title race in February,” said the 56-year-old in his interview with Panorama via FcInterNews.

“On paper, what happened last season could repeat itself. Inter built a strong team and strengthened it with a coach who has definitely matured with experience.

“Simone Inzaghi’s management of the first two seasons, from my point of view, was not optimal despite winning trophies.

Paolo Di Canio Expects Inter Milan To Prevail In The Serie A Title Race

“Now he has exploded by combining concreteness and proactive football. Moreover, he has improved many of his players and added important players.”

Di Canio also praised the addition of Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski to the ranks. The two experienced players signed from Porto and Napoli respectively on free transfers last month.

He also lauds Yann Bisseck who has been on the rise since joining the club as a relative unknown last season.

“Inter, in addition to having taken Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski, they have someone like Yann Bisseck who has vastly improved.

“They have important depth to manage the double commitment between Serie A and the Champions League,” added the former Sunderland manager.

“I’m not saying that the Nerazzurri should win it in February, but it seems to me that the others have more problems than Inzaghi and Inter.”
