Inter Milan could end up keeping Joaquin Correa, Eddie Salcedo, or Martin Satriano in their squad for the season.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that it’s hardly a foregone conclusion that all three out-of-favour strikers will leave before the end of the transfer window.

Perhaps more important than signing players will be getting rid of the players not in the plans for Inter over the last few weeks of the summer transfer window.

And in attack, there are three players in particular who Inter are trying to offload.

Former Lazio and Sevilla forward Correa has been part of the Nerazzurri’s squad in preseason. He returned following a disastrous loan spell at Marseille last season.

It seems perfectly clear that the 30-year-old has no place in Inter’s plans.

Meanwhile, young striker Salcedo is also a player who the Nerazzurri are looking to find a solution for, following a serious of loan spells in recent years.

And Uruguayan international Satriano’s situation is up in the air.

Inter have already agreed a deal with Brest for Satriano. The Ligue 1 club had the 23-year-old on loan last season, and want to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.

But so far Satriano has not given the green light on the move. He prefers a transfer to a club in La Liga.

Inter Could Keep 1-2 Of Correa, Salcedo & Satriano In Squad

As Inter’s attempts to offload that trio during the window so far has illustrated, sorting out the futures of Correa, Salcedo, and Satriano won’t be easy.

Therefore, it is not certain that Inter will be able to shift all three on before the transfer window closes.

And that might not be the worst thing in the world for the Nerazzurri.

Inter are heading into a season with more matches than ever. That will put the squad depth to the test.

And the Nerazzurri have four senior strikers in the squad. There are Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Mehdi Taremi, and Marko Arnautovic.

There have been persistent reports that Inter want a fifth striker. Particularly coach Simone Inzaghi.

And if any of Correa, Salcedo, or Satriano are to remain past the end of the window, they could very well fill that role.
