Inter Milan are reportedly laying plans to armor Yann Bisseck with a new long-term contract to ward off all suitors.

The 23-year-old was arguably the biggest revelation at the club last season.

He arrived as a relative unknown from Danish top-flight side Aarhus. Yet, he gradually proved his worth to the cause, even though he remains a backup for Benjamin Pavard.

This pre-season, the German has been one of the best performers in Simone Inzaghi’s squad throughout the summer, promising an improved campaign on the previous one.

Il Corriere dello Sport (via FcInterNews) thus tips Bisseck to earn more playing time this season.

The report believes Inzaghi will be opting for more rotation to navigate the grueling schedule.

Hence, Inter fans should see more of Bisseck this term, but it might not necessarily be on the right of the defensive trio.

As the Roman newspaper explains, Inzaghi has tested the Germany U21 international at the center of the three-man backline on some occasions, including the most recent friendly against Chelsea.

Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij remain the main two options for the central defender role.

Yet, their advanced playing ages and their expiring contracts suggest there could be a future for Bisseck in this role.

Inter Milan Preparing New Contract For Yann Bisseck

Moreover, the source claims that Inter are already planning to offer the young centre-back a new contract.

Although his current deal is valid until June 2028, the Nerazzurri realize that the player has already attracted the interest of several clubs across the Old Continent.

Therefore, the Italian champions would like to lock him down with a new and improved contract to repel all possible suitors.

The Koln youth product made 16 Serie A appearances last term. He contributed with two goals and one assist on the path towards the club’s 20th Scudetto title.
