Inter Milan have reportedly set sights on Federico Chiesa and Jonathan David who could be available for free next summer.

New reports have been suggesting that the Italian champions could sign one more striker to complete Simone Inzaghi’s attacking department.

The Nerazzurri have already acquired the services of Mehdi Taremi who could serve as the main backup for Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.

Nevertheless, the likes of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic haven’t truly inspired in recent campaigns.

And yet, Inter might have to do with them for another season amidst the lack of offers.

This would also impede the club’s attempts to sign Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson. The Italian champions cannot sign the Icelandic star before making room for him in the squad and on the wage bill.

Therefore, Il Giorno (via FcInter1908) claims that Inter fans might have to wait for another year to witness substantial reinforcements in attack.

The source believes that Beppe Marotta and Co. are already seeking a couple of free transfers for 2025.

The Inter president is notorious for poaching some of the best available free agents on the market. His latest two coups have been Taremi and Piotr Zielinski.

Inter Milan Monitoring Federico Chiesa & Jonathan David For 2025

Hence, the newspaper claims the Nerazzurri will pursue Chiesa next summer if he remains on Juventus’ books until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old isn’t part of Thiago Motta’s plan, and the Bianconeri have told him to find himself a new club.

But if he were to see out his contract which expires at the end of the season, Inter will be looking to pounce on the situation.

The Nerazzurri are also keeping tabs on Canadian hitman Jonathan David.

The 25-year-old has been growing from strength to strength since joining Lille in 2020. The Brooklyn native’s contract with the Ligue 1 side will expire in June 2025.
