Inter Milan have agreed to send young winger Issiaka Kamate to AVS Futebol on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is a French native of Ivorian heritage. He started his career at Montfermeil before moving to the Nerazzurri in 2020.

The youngster has climbed through the club’s ranks. He cemented himself as one of the most promising players in the Primavera squad.

Kamate also trained with Simone Inzaghi’s first team during the club’s pre-season preparation.

He even featured in the starting formation as a right wingback on a few occasions during the early friendlies while Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries were still on vacation.

But with the two senior players now reclaiming their positions within Inzaghi’s ranks, the young man found himself surplus to requirements.

Therefore, the management has been working on finding him a new accommodation for the upcoming season.

According to Sky Sport Italia via FcInter1908, the Italian champions have found an agreement with AVS over the player’s transfer.

The Portuguese side earned a promotion from the second division last season, and are now part of the country’s top-flight.

AVS Set To Sign Inter Milan Youngster Issiaka Kamate On Loan With Option To Buy

As the source explains, AVS will have the option to sign Kamate on a permanent basis at the end of the season. This would cost them 2 million euros.

On the other hand, Inter will maintain some leverage over the youngster’s future thanks to a buy-clause clause.

The Nerazzurri would have the opportunity to re-sign the Frenchman by repaying the same sum in addition to an extra 250,000 euros.

Kamate’s contract with the Italian champions is valid until June 2026 having signed an extension last summer.
