Inter Milan goalkeeper Yann Sommer has decided to retire from international duty for Switzerland.

The 35-year-old has been a senior international for more than ten years now. He got his first cap in 2012.

In total, Sommer has made 94 appearances for the Swiss national time. During that time he has been in goal for five major tournaments.

The Switzerland national team took to Instagram to thank Sommer for “twelve years of excellence, reliability, and good vibes.”
