Inter Milan are working to bring in teenage Croatian midfielder Dominik Kartelo from Croatian club Sibenik.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews.

Inter have not had the busiest of summer transfer windows overall.

The Nerazzurri have made a total of three signings for the senior team in total thus far.

These have been Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski, who both arrived at the Nerazzurri on free transfer, and Josep Martinez, who Inter envision as the long-term heir to Yann Sommer in goal.

Meanwhile, Inter look to be on the verge of making one more signing for the senior squad.

The Nerazzurri have been negotiating to sign 21-year-old Argentine defender Tomas Palacios.

Palacios is the player the Nerazzurri have decided to bring in as a backup to Alessandro Bastoni. He is also a defender they believe can grow into the team over the next few years.

And that is likely it as far as senior signings.

Inter have had a quiet summer where they have focused more on consolidating the existing squad. This has meant few incomings.

Unless the Nerazzurri make one more surprise signing in attack in the next few days, Inter will end the summer with just four new senior players.

Inter Milan Working To Sign Teenage Midfielder Dominik Kartelo

Inter have been as active as ever on the youth team front.

As Sky note, in fact, the Nerazzurri have been if anything even more active in pursuing young talents for their youth team.

This certainly reflects the priority of Inter owners Oaktree Capital.

The owners, who have been at the helm since May, want to focus on young talent for the future.

Yesterday, Inter completed the signing of teenage midfielder Dino Putsen from Sweden.

And according to Sky, the Nerazzurri are trying to add another talented teenage midfielder to their ranks.

The broadcaster reports that Inter have been in ongoing talks to sign young midfielder Dominik Kartelo.

The Nerazzurri are working to convince both the player and his representatives, and his club Sibenik.

Kartelo would be a player who would come in to play for Inter’s Under-18 and Under-19 teams initially.
