Inter Milan striker Joaquin Correa reportedly has a new possible suitor in the shape of the newly-promoted Serie A side Venezia.

The Nerazzurri have been working on offloading the former Sampdoria and Sevilla man since the start of the summer, but to no avail.

The 30-year-old didn’t have too many options, and none of them materialized.

The Argentine remains at the bottom of Simone Inzaghi’s pecking order in attack. Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Mehdi Taremi and Marko Arnautovic are all ahead of him in the hierarchy.

Therefore, Correa risks spending an entire campaign as a benchwarmer at San Siro. The technical staff could also decide to omit him from the Champions League squad.

But according to La Nuova Venezia via FcInter1908, Venezia are considering making a move for the Nerazzurri wantaway.

The Venetians have only managed to score a single goal in their first two Serie A outings.

Therefore, the new Serie A boys are looking to bolster Eusebio De Francesco’s attack by making new acquisitions.

So it remains to be seen if the Lagunari will put the deal over the line before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

Venezia Considering A Move For Inter Milan Striker Joaquin Correa

The two clubs have already shaken hands on a couple of occasions this summer. Gaetano Oristanio and Filip Stankovic both made the move from Milano to Venezia.

Correa has been on Inter’s books since following Inzaghi to Appiano Gentile in the summer of 2021. However, he couldn’t recapture the magic of his previous spell at Lazio.

After two disappointing campaigns, the Nerazzurri sent the Argentina international on loan to Marseille last season.

However, it proved to be a disastrous campaign for the striker on an individual level. He failed to contribute with a single goal or assist in all competitions.

Correa’s contract with the Italian champions will expire at the end of the season.
