Inter Milan striker Eddie Salcedo has reportedly attracted interest from Pescara as his fate remains uncertain just a few hours before the summer transfer window slams shut.

According to La Casa Di C, the Abruzzo club is keen to sign the 22-year-old who has no place in Simone Inzaghi’s squad.

The Delfini currently ply their trade in the Serie C. Nevertheless, they’re hoping to enhance their ranks as they look to climb their way back in the pyramid of Italian football.

Therefore, Pescara have decided to launch an attempt to sign Salceo on deadline day.

The 22-year-old was born and raised in Genoa. While he has Colombian heritage, he represented the Italian national team in several group ages, including the U21 side.

The striker started his career at Genoa’s youth academy, but Inter poached him in 2018.

Since then, he’s been constantly out on loan. He had spells at the likes of Hellas Verona, Bari and Spezia.

Last season, Salcedo spent the first half of his campaign in Spain at Eldense. He then returned to Italy through Lecco’s gate in January.

This summer, the young striker has been training with Inzaghi’s first team. He even took part in some of the club’s pre-season friendlies.

Nevertheless, the Inter manager has no intention to rely on Italo-Colombian’s services. Therefore, the player will be hoping to find himself a new club before the deadline, otherwise, he risks spending his campaign on the sidelines.

Inzaghi already has five strikers at his disposal, vying for two starting spots. These are Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Mehdi Taremi, and Marko Arnautovic, in addition to Joaquin Correa who’s also facing an uncertain future.

Salcedo primarily plays as a centre-forward, but can also feature on the left wing or as a second striker.
