Inter Milan are preparing to welcome their final addition of the summer transfer market, as Tomas Palacios will officially become a Nerazzurro today.

It has been a quiet transfer session for the Italian champions. Club president Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio were keen to maintain the same squad core.

Nevertheless, the management still enhanced the depth by adding Mehdi Taremi, Piotr Zielinski and Josep Martinez to the fold.

Finally, the Nerazzurri were still missing a left-footed defender, but have now found their man in Palacios.

The Serie A giants have been negotiating a deal for the Argentine who is owned by Tallares but is currently on loan at Independiente Rivadavia who have an option to buy him.

So while these stipulations complicated the proceedings at first, Inter eventually managed to find the right formula. They splashed 6.5 million euros to seal the deal, a figure to could rise up to 11M depending on bonuses.

As reported last night, the parties have overcome the final bureaucratic hurdle. The Argentine Football Federation has finally greenlighted the operation.
