Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is thrilled with his team’s emphatic win over Atalanta in their last Serie A match before the international break.

The Nerazzurri coach spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews. He also commented on the Nerazzurri’s rivals’ investment in the summer transfer window.

Inter have beaten Atalanta by a 4-0 scoreline for the second time in a row in Serie A.

It did not take the Nerazzurri long yesterday evening at the San Siro.

By the time the match was in its tenth minute, Inter had already scored twice.

The Nerazzurri then bagged a couple more goals in the second half.

And just as importantly, Inter managed to keep a clean sheet for the second match running.

There was plenty of attacking threat from La Dea, who had a lot of possession as they chased a goal to get back in the match. But Inter held firm.

Inter Coach Inzaghi: “Extremely Pleased To Beat Atalanta Like This”

After the match, Inter coach Inzaghi said that “The guys did very well.”

“We played very well technically. We were excellent in the first half hour.”

“Then it was inevitable that in the last quarter of an hour of the first half we dropped back a bit,” Inzaghi continued.

“But in the second half we came back with a vengeance.”

“We’re extremely pleased,” Inzaghi said. “Winning like this against Atalanta is brilliant.”

“Over the last four days of intense training I’ve been very happy with what I’ve seen from the guys,” Inzaghi said. “And today things went perfectly. Congratulations to the guys.”

The Inter coach then noted that “We have to work every day to make sure that we do as well as possible.”

“Our rivals have made massive investments in the transfer market,” Inzaghi noted. “But we won’t give up, we’ll fight until the end.”
