Former Italy international Daniele Adani has waxed lyrical about Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi amid another impressive league start.
During an interview with Viva El Futbol, as reported by FCInterNews, Adani shared his thoughts about Inzaghi’s robust system at Giuseppe Meazza.
He believes the team’s collective effort has been the recipe for Inzaghi’s sterling managerial success at Inter.
Adani’s assessment isn’t far from the truth.
Inzaghi has turned the Nerazzurri into a well-oiled machine where everyone knows their duties.
Therefore, all Inter first-team stars perform excellently on club level, though some struggle to translate that form to the international stage.
“Many times, the comparison is made between performance in Italy and Europe,” Adani claimed.
“If we go to take the Inter players. Almost all of them when they play for the national team, are performing worse than when they play in the Nerazzurri shirt.”

“[Nicolo] Barella is a player who, beyond the European Championship, has done well in the national team. But in Italy, he dominates,” Adani continued. “As well as Calhanoglu and Bastoni.
“When a team grows and you see the collective perform so well, working together and confronting each other, it is a great certificate of work done well by the coach.”
Inter’s Serie A title defense was off to a dismal start. Genoa’s last-gasp equalizer held the Nerazzurri to a 2-2 draw.
Undeterred by a late heartbreak at Luigi Ferraris, Inzaghi’s troops have reaffirmed their Scudetto credentials in the last two rounds.
