Inter Milan and Juventus are both tracking Schalke 04 Mali international striker Moussa Sylla.

This according to German tabloid Bild, via FCInterNews. They report that the 24-year-old Malian international could even depart from the Gelsenkirchen-based club during the January transfer window.

Sylla has been one of the early revelations of the 2. Bundesliga season.

Schalke signed the Malian from Caen during the summer transfer window.

The Koenigsblauen brought Sylla in as an attacking reinforcement as part of their bid to finally return to the top flight after a couple seasons in the second division.

And thus far, the 24-year-old has hit the ground running in Germany.

Sylla has scored three goals in four matches for Schalke. He has been the club’s outstanding individual performer.

And as Bild notes, Schalke are not hiding the fact that they are likely to sell Sylla in the near future.

The club’s Technical Director Ben Manga admitted that the Malian international is likely to be the club’s next major sale. Particularly considering the importance of revenue from transfer fees to their business model.

Inter & Juventus Tracking Schalke Striker Moussa Sylla

According to Bild, the interest that has emerged in Sylla’s signature has come from Serie A.

The German tabloid report that Inter and Juventus are both showing an interest in signing the 24-year-old.

In the case of Inter, the Nerazzurri are almost certain to make an attacking signing next summer. The likes of Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic are out of contract at the end of next June.

Meanwhile, Juventus could aim to reinforce the attack for Thiago Motta.

The versatile Sylla could fill a role in the attacking systems of either the Nerazzurri or the Bianconeri.

And according to Bild, a move for Sylla may not even wait until January.

Schalke’s preference would be to keep the Malian at least until the end of the season, naturally. But if a big offer arrives in the January window, they could consider it.
