Simone Inzaghi feels that Inter Milan’s squad can cope with squad rotation ahead of this evening’s Serie A match against Monza.
The Nerazzurri coach spoke to Italian broadcaster DAZN, via FCInterNews, ahead of the match.
This evening, Inter take on Monza in Serie A.
The Nerazzurri are playing their fourth match of the season, and seeking their third win in a row.
Three points will certainly be important. But at the same time, this is far from the only match that Inter have to think about.
In the next week, Inter will take on both Manchester City in the Champions League and AC Milan in Serie A.
Therefore, it is not too much of a surprise to see that Inzaghi has made some changes to the team.
In defense, Carlos Augusto and Stefan de Vrij take the place of Alessandro Bastoni and Francesco Acerbi.
Then in midfield, there are chances for a couple of younger players. Kristjan Asllani and Davide Frattesi both make their first starts of the season for the Nerazzurri.
Inzaghi On Inter Squad Rotation Vs Monza: “I Have Faith In Everyone”
Naturally, there will be some doubts about whether Inter can be at their best with some notable changes throughout the spine of the team.
But for his part, Nerazzurri coach Inzaghi is not worried.
“We know that we have a lot of matches close together,” said the Inter coach.
“But the main thing doesn’t change: We have to prepare for one match at a time.”
“Today I made some changes to the team,” Inzaghi noted. “And I have faith in everyone.”
“There are 23 players who are here with us in Monza,” he said. “And they would all be ready to help us.”
As far as how he selected his team, Inzaghi said that “I watched the training sessions.”
“Those players who remained with us over the international break were able to work better, but the players are all doing well.”
“In attack I had to make some tough choices, because all four strikers were away with their national teams except for Correa.”
As far as starting the first-choice pairing of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, Inzaghi said that “I decided to start those two, but we’ll see what happens during the match.”
