Inter Milan and AC Milan are among the top five clubs in Europe in terms of average attendance at the start of the current campaign.

The two clubs have been working on finding themselves a new modern home over the past few years.

Nevertheless, the San Siro remains one of the most crowded stadiums in the Old Continent. This applies to both the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri matches.

According to Transfermarkt via FcInterNews, both clubs landed in the Top five spots in terms of average attendance this season.

Borussia Dortmund are leading the charge with an average of 81,365 in their first two home fixtures of the season. The Signal Iduna Park boasts one of the most intense atmospheres in the sport.

BVB’s arch-rivals Bayern Munich are right behind in second place. 75,024 fans watched the Bavarian giants in the first match played at the Allianz Arena this season.

Inter Milan Land In Fourth Place In Terms Of Average Attendance Around Europe

Manchester United complete the podium with an average of 73,518. Despite the Red Devils’ recent woes, their loyal fanbase is still flocking to Old Trafford.

The Milanese duo are right behind the Premier League giants, starting with Inter in fourth place.

The Italian champions have thus far recorded an average of 72,677 spectators in their first two home fixtures of the new campaign.

Simone Inzaghi’s men beat Lecce 2-0 and Atalanta 4-0 on those two occasions.

Finally, AC Milan rounded up the Top five with an average attendance of 71,008, just ahead of reigning European champions Real Madrid (70,708).
