Yann Bisseck has come under fire for a major defensive error in Inter Milan’s Serie A clash with Torino yesterday.

Today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, argue that the German was culpable for Torino’s first goal in the 3-2 thriller.

Germany Under-21 international Bisseck got the nod in the Inter starting eleven yesterday.

This was a mark of just how much the 23-year-old has won the trust of Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi does not just see Bisseck as a rotational player or a backup for Benjamin Pavard. The German is capable of starting important matches.

Nowhere was that more evident than in Bisseck starting against Manchester City in the Champions League last month.

That was, if not Bisseck’s most impressive display to date for Inter, certainly right up there.

The German helped Inter to a clean sheet as he barely put a foot wrong defensively against the Premier League juggernauts.

And Bisseck has started Inter’s last couple Serie A matches. But they have been more evenings to forget for the 23-year-old.

Yann Bisseck Criticized For Error In Inter Win Vs Torino

Inter were in control for much of the first half against Torino.

Once the Granata went down to ten men, things got easier for Inter. And once they were 2-0 up, it looked like they’d be cruising.

However, just seconds after Inter’s second goal, striker Duvan Zapata pulled one back for the Granata.

The Colombian seemed to bully the Inter Nerazzurri defense, who had switched off a bit after the restart of play.

But Bisseck, above all, looked hapless in the sequence.

The German rushed out to try and challenge Zapata, but got it all wrong.

Zapata played the ball to Torino midfielder Gvidas Ginedis. Bisseck attempted to challenged the 20-year-old Latvian international, but once again failed to time his tackle.

Ginedis played Zapata back in, and the 33-year-old ran clean through and scored.

Then, Bisseck never really got a chance to make up for his error. Inter coach Simone Inzaghi hooked the German at halftime for Benjamin Pavard because he was on a yellow card.
