The court has subpoenaed Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi and Vice-President Javier Zanetti to testify in the ongoing Curva Nord scandal.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by FCInterNews, the prominent Inter duo will have an interview with prosecutors in the coming days.

The investigation over the involvement of several AC Milan and Inter fans in mafia business with ‘Ndrangheta is gathering momentum.

Several high-profile members of the Curva Nord and their Rossoneri counterparts, Curva Sud, are behind bars.  They were arrested at the start of last week.

Italian police suspect they have close ties with the notorious crime syndicate.

Among the suspects is the leading face of the Curva Nord, Marco Ferdico.

During the investigation, a tape of a phone call between Ferdico and Inzaghi ahead of the 2023 UEFA Champions League final has emerged.

Therefore, Simone Inzaghi will have to tell his side of the story.

With club football taking a back for a fortnight, the Inter boss could appear before the investigators in the coming days.

In addition to Inzaghi, Zanetti will come forward to make a statement.

As the police survey unfolds, Inter and Milan have offered ‘full’ cooperation, looking to clear their names.

However, the duo’s appearance for the hearings is only the beginning.

Indeed, former Inter aces Milan Skriniar and Marco Materazzi are also in the mix.

Current star Hakan Calhanoglu is another name on the list. But it’ll likely have to wait for his return from the international break.

Meanwhile, in the neighbor camp, Milan captain Davide Calabria will testify by the end of the week.

According to early evidence, the two fan groups, closely tied to ‘Ndrangheta clans have worked together under a single acronym.
