Inter Milan and Marseille will make a decision regarding ACL surgery for attacking midfielder Valentin Carboni tomorrow.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the two clubs are currently in constant and ongoing contact regarding the 19-year-old.

At the moment, Carboni is reeling from a serious ACL injury.

The 19-year-old suffered the injury while in training with the Argentina national team over the international break.

There is still a fair bit of uncertainty over how long exactly Carboni will be out for. But it will be some time.

The minimum amount of time before the Argentine can return to the pitch would be six months. And it would likely be even longer than that.

Therefore, there is every chance that this ACL tear is a season-ending injury for Carboni, just a couple months into the campaign.

A number of high-profile players have suffered similar injuries in recent weeks.

These have included Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Real Madrid right-back Dani Carvajal, and Juventus defender Bremer.

Inter & Marseille To Decide On Valentin Carboni ACL Surgery Tomorrow

Over the summer, Carboni joined French giants Marseille on loan.

The teenager has just started to find his feet at the Ligue 1 club. He made his first start of the season against Angers just before the international break.

But now it looks very likely that Carboni’s season is already over.

There is a chance that Inter and Marseille could already agree on a termination of the Argentine’s loan.

At the moment, the two clubs are in constant contact with each other, and with the Argentina medical staff.

Tomorrow, the decision will arrive regarding how to handle Carboni’s recovery.

The 19-year-old will certainly have to undergo surgery. But the decision will concern who is responsible for the operation.

And then, Carboni could return to Inter for his long rehabilitation process.
