Benjamin Pavard and Matteo Darmian are set to start for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A match against Roma.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They anticipate that the duo will get the nod ahead of Yann Bisseck and Denzel Dumfries.
Inter return to Serie A action this evening after a couple weeks away.
And Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has a few notable selection decisions to make.
The most significant one concerns the midfield. Both Nicolo Barella and Davide Frattesi are vying for a starting spot in the midfield trio.
According to the Gazzetta, it is Barella who is the favourite to start. He would be going straight back into the starting eleven upon his return from injury.
But that is not the only selection decision that Inzaghi will have to make.
Particularly with the team having to play twice a week right up until the next international break, Inzaghi will have plenty to think about as far as balancing squad rotations.

The Gazzetta report that Inzaghi has been mulling over what the right side of his 3-5-2 formation will look like.
On the right of the back three, Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck are vying for a starting spot.
Both of the pair have started several matches for Inter over the first couple months of the season.
And according to the Gazzetta, it is former Bayern Munich man Pavard who will start this evening.
Meanwhile, there has also been a persistent selection dilemma at right-wingback for Inzaghi.
Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries have both started matches for Inter this season.
However, it has been former Manchester United man Darmian who has started more often. Particularly in the big matches.
And according to the Gazzetta, Darmian will get the nod this evening against Roma.
