Inter Milan have already earned a minimum of over €55 million from this season’s edition of the Champions League.
Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza detail the revenues that the Nerazzurri have already secured after just matchday three of the competition.
It is no secret that participation in the Champions League is lucrative for clubs.
That is part of the reason why the top clubs in Serie A and other leagues see qualification for the competition as one of the non-negotiable priorities for each season.
Inter have participated in the Champions League in each of the past seven seasons.
And in each campaign that the Nerazzurri have played in the competition since Simone Inzaghi took over as coach in 2021, they have reached the knockout stage.
In the 2022-23 campaign, Inter went as far as the final of Champions League.
This time around, things are a bit different. UEFA have expanded the format of the group stage to an eight-match “league phase” with 36 participating teams rather than 32.
This expansion to the format means more matches for the teams. And it also increases the amount of revenues that the teams can earn.

Yesterday, Inter beat Young Boys in their third match of the Champions League.
That means that the Nerazzurri remain unbeaten in Europe’s top club competition after a draw against Manchester City and a win over Red Star Belgrade.
And the victory in Switzerland increases the total results bonus that Inter have guaranteed themselves.
Calcio e Finanza detail the revenues that Inter have already guaranteed themselves from participation in the Champions League.
This is strictly in terms of revenues from UEFA. In other words, it does not include gate receipt revenues and other earnings from the stadium.
The “participation bonus” for Inter totals €18.62 million, reports Calcio e Finanza.
Then there is a “table position” bonus worth €275,000.
The “European share” for Inter adds up to €24.02 million, while the “non-European share” totals €7,36 million.
Then, there is the “results bonus” for the Nerazzurri. Calcio e Finanza that that is now €4.9 million for Inter after a draw and two wins in their opening three matches.
This takes Inter’s minimum guaranteed earnings to a total of €55.18 million,
