Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is relying on major squad rotation between Serie A and the Champions League.

This is highlighted in today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Tomorrow’s Serie A match against Juventus will be Inter’s third since coming back from the international break.

That’s three in the space of a week. And then there will be four more to come before the November international break.

Inter are also dealing with some notable injuries.

The likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Francesco Acerbi, and Carlos Augusto are currently out. And Tajon Buchanan is only just ready to come back from a serious injury.

Clearly, the fixture list has the potential to put enormous strain on the Nerazzurri’s squad.

Inzaghi Relying On Major Squad Rotation With Serie A & Champions League Fixtures Piling Up

Inter coach Inzaghi has one weapon above all in combating fatigue in key players.

That is rotation of the squad.

Inzaghi made a whopping seven changes to the starting eleven between matches against Roma and Young Boys.

And it is almost certain to be more of the same this weekend. The Nerazzurri coach is ready to change his team up significantly against Juventus.

Inter have worked hard to give Inzaghi a squad that he can dip into in this manner.

And even with injuries to some key players, the Inter coach feels that he has the resources to chop and change from match to match.

Since the start of the international break, that has largely seen the “weaker” lineups used in the Champions League.

But that has been with fixtures against the likes of Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys, as opposed to Roma and Juventus in the league.

In the league coming up, there will be matches against Empoli and Venezia.

And then in Europe, Inter’s next three opponents will be Arsenal, RB Leipzig, and Bayer Leverkusen.

Inzaghi is thinking carefully about how to juggle the squad between all of these fixtures.
