Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi feels that his team “could’ve scored eight goals” in this evening’s 4-4 Derby d’Italia thriller against Juventus.

The Nerazzurri coach spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, after the wild Serie A match.

Inte and Juventus definitely did not showcase top-quality defending in this evening’s Derby d’Italia.

While the fixture has often produced cagey matches in recent years, this was nothing short of end-to-end.

When Inter got forward, they always seemed to play through Juventus and produce a dangerous chance.

And at the other end, the Bianconeri caused chaos in the Inter penalty area seemingly every time they got the ball near it.

The result was a frantic 4-4 match that was certainly one of the most entertaining matches the two sides have played out in recent memory.

Inter Coach Inzaghi Rues Missed Chances Vs Juventus: “We Could’ve Scored Eight Goals”

After the match, Inter coach Inzaghi said that “There’s disappointment, but as a coach I have to get right back to it.”

“The four goals that we conceded will be something we have to analyze.”

“You can allow four shots when it’s against a team like Juve. But not four goals.”

Inzaghi then noted that “We were up against a team who have only conceded one goal so far, from a penalty.”

“And they could have conceded seven or eight here.”

“Tonight we should have scored the fifth,” the Inter coach lamented.

“There were no signs until Yildiz came on and scored.”

“We were sixty metres up the pitch, we lost two tackles,” Inzaghi said.

The Inter coach said that “There’s a sense of bitterness, we fully deserved to win.”

“As a coach I have to make myself clear, tomorrow we’ll talk through it.”

“Juve have made defending their strength, but we really created a lot,” Inzaghi said.
