Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is still deciding between Nicolo Barella and Davide Frattesi for the starting eleven to face Venezia.
Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, report that the two Italian international midfielders are the main selection doubt for the Serie A clash. They anticipate Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will start.
Inter take on Venezia in Serie A this evening.
This will be the Nerazzurri’s fifth match in just two weeks since the October international break.
And then there are two more to come before the November break. These will be massive ones against Arsenal in the Champions League and then league leaders Napoli.
Inter coach Inzaghi knows that three points are absolutely essential here.
Slipping up and failing to beat relegation-threatened Venezia would be a major blow for the Nerazzurri as they aim to reassert themselves against Napoli in the Serie A title race.
Inzaghi Deciding Between Barella & Frattesi To Start For Inter Vs Venezia
According to Sky, Inzaghi is hardly going to name a weakened or heavily rotated starting eleven this evening.
Despite the Lagunari currently languishing in the bottom end of the Serie A table the Inter coach won’t underestimate this fixture.
Hakan Calhanoglu and Francesco Acerbi are back from injury. But they’ll just get a place on the bench this evening.
But in defense Inzaghi will go with more or less the strongest back three available. He’ll start Benjamin Pavard, Stefan de Vrij, and Alessandro Bastoni.
In attack, meanwhile, the Inter coach is ready to use the regular starting strike pair of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram.
On the flanks, Inzaghi will start Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries.
And in midfield, there is little doubt Henrikh Mkhitaryan will start for Inter.
But Inzaghi has yet to decide between Nicolo Barella and Davide Frattesi.
And Sky even report that Calhanoglu could start ahead of Piotr Zielinski at the base of the Inter midfield trio.
