Matteo Moretto has shed light on the loan agreement between Inter Milan and Venezia for prodigious goalkeeper Filip Stankovic.
During his latest interview with FCInter1908, Moretto discussed the buyout clause in the youngster’s deal.
Filip Stankovic left Stadio Giuseppe Meazza to join Serie A newcomers Venezia on a season-long loan in the summer.
After failing to secure first-team football at Inter, Simone Inzaghi allowed the 22-year-old to link up with Eusebio Di Francesco’s side.
Stankovic was the second-choice option for Venezia at the start of the season.
Indeed, Jesse Joronen was Di Francesco’s number-one option between the sticks.
However, after several underwhelming performances, the Finish stopper has tumbled down the pecking order.
Stankovic has leapfrogged his senior colleague in the hierarchy after October’s international break.
He has been in goal in the last four Serie A outings.
Yet, it wasn’t all rosy.
The Inter academy graduate conceded precisely twice in his first three top-flight appearances.
But he stole the headlines with a superb showing against his parent club on Sunday.

Though Venezia slipped to a 1-0 loss at Giuseppe Meazza, Stankovic was outstanding.
He pulled off seven fantastic saves to keep his side in the game until the final whistle.
Therefore, Di Francesco’s men are eager to trigger a buyout clause in his deal.
Stankovic’s agent, Moretto, discussed the terms during his recent interview.
“Venezia has the possibility of buying Filip Stankovic from Inter for around €2 million,” he said.
“The option may become mandatory if certain conditions were met.
“The Nerazzurri have secured 50% on the future resale.”
Stankovic impressed during his loan stint at Sampdoria last term.
However, it was in Serie B.
Serie A has proved more challenging for the youngster, but a match against Inter could prove a turning point.
