Fiorentina forward Albert Gudmundsson will not be risked in Sunday’s Serie A match against Inter Milan.

This according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb. They report that the Icelander is still dealing with a thigh problem and so he will play no part on Sunday.

Inter and Fiorentina face in Serie A on Sunday evening.

This match will pit two of the four teams chasing Napoli in the Serie A table. The Nerazzurri, La Viola, Lazio, and Atalanta are all currently just one point behind the Partenopei.

Therefore, there is a feeling that Sunday’s match could have a big impact in the title race.

And according to TMW, Fiorentina will be without an important player due to injury.

Albert Gudmundsson To Miss Fiorentina Vs Inter Serie A Clash

Forward Gudmundsson is currently out with a thigh problem.

The 27-year-old joined Fiorentina from Genoa during the summer transfer window. And he has become a key player for La Viola this season under Raffaele Palladino.

Inter had also reportedly had a strong interest in signing Gudmundsson.

But it was Fiorentina who sealed the deal for the former AZ Alkmaar forward in the end.

If there has been an issue that has blighted Gudmundsson’s time at Fiorentina so far, it has been some persistent injury problems.

And according to TMW, these will see him miss Sunday’s match at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
