Tomorrow will be the decisive day for determining whether Francesco Acerbi and Davide Frattesi receive call-ups to face Fiorentina.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They note that the duo are back in training ahead of Sunday’s Serie A clash.
Inter defender Acerbi and midfielder Frattesi are reportedly back in full training today.
Each of the two is coming back from a minor injury.
In the case of Acerbi, the former Lazio and Sassuolo defender picked up a thigh knock against Hellas Verona in last weekend’s Serie A match.
That was enough to see Acerbi miss Tuesday’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, midfielder Frattesi pulled out of the squad for Tuesday’s match. This was due to a knee problem that he sustained in training.
Today Decisive For Whether Acerbi & Frattesi To Be Called Up Vs Fiorentina
It won’t be too long before bother Acerbi and Frattesi are back, however.
Both of the two Italian internationals are already making their return to training with the rest of the squad today.
Therefore, there is a real chance that one or both could be back in the squad for this weekend’s Serie A match away to Fiorentina.
But at the same time, there is no guarantee of that.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will hardly want to rush either Acerbi or Frattesi back to action if there are any fitness risks.
Therefore, the coach will see how both are doing in tomorrow’s training session. Then he will make his decision.
