Inter Milan defender Francesco Acerbi has pulled out of training ahead of tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash with Fiorentina.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.

36-year-old defender Acerbi is currently out with a thigh injury.

The former Lazio and Sassuolo defender suffered his injury during last weekend’s Serie A win over Hellas Verona.

Acerbi was in the starting eleven for that match. However, he was only able to play around fifteen minutes before his injury forced him off.

Subsequent medical tests confirmed that Acerbi had suffered a strain to the biceps femoris muscle in his thigh.

This is the second time in the space of a few weeks that Acerbi has suffered that injury.

However, the 36-year-old’s recovery process has been quicker than the last time around,

Acerbi did make a full return to training yesterday.

Therefore, the 36-year-old should be able to come back relatively soon. He will not miss several matches as with the last thigh injury he had.

However, Sky reports, Acerbi pulled out of today’s training session.

Therefore, there is no chance of seeing the Italian international in tomorrow’s match.
