Nicola Zalewski feels that Inter Milan would have “deserved three points” from yesterday’s Serie A derby clash with AC Milan.
The Polish international spoke to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews, after the match.
Nicola Zalewski got his debut for Inter in just about the biggest match imaginable.
The 23-year-old came off the bench in the derby against AC Milan less than 24 hours after he had signed for the Nerazzurri.
Zalewski certainly had a memorable first match for Inter.
When Nicola Zalewski came on, the Nerazzurri were a goal down. They were desperately chasing an equalizer.
And in the end, it was Zalewski who provided the assist for Inter’s goal to salvage a point. He played the ball across the face of goal for Stefan de Vrij in stoppage time.
Nicola Zalewski: “Inter Milan Deserved Three Points” Vs AC Milan
That goal, created by Zalewski and scored by de Vrij, spared Inter’s blushes somewhat.
However, the fact remains that the Nerazzurri were not able to take three points.

And on the balance of chances, Inter will perhaps feel that they could have done so.
Inter had three goals disallowed over the course of yesterday’s matches. In addition, they hit the post on three separate occasions.
There were innumerable corner kicks for the Nerazzurri, although none of them resulted in goals.
Then, Inter were also controversially denied a penalty after Milan defender Strahinja Pavlovic had appeared to rather blatantly foul striker Marcus Thuram inside the penalty area.
After the match, Inter new boy Zalewski said that “It was a match where, if I can be totally honest, we deserved the three points.”
“But that’s the way football is,” continued the Polish international.
“When you can’t win, you have to at least try not to lose,” said Zalewski after Inter secured a vital draw.
