Bologna defender Sam Beukema is a major target for Inter Milan to replace Francesco Acerbi, but not the only one.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews. They report that Jaka Bijol, Isak Hien, Mario Gila, and Pietro Commuzzo are also among the Nerazzurri’s targets.
Inter will have to replace Francesco Acerbi at the end of this season.
The Italian international has managed to be a stalwart for the Nerazzurri when available.
However, Acerbi turns 37 this month. And this season he has really started to struggle with injuries.
Therefore, Acerbi is hardly a reliable option at the back any more.
Moreover, Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital have made it clear that lowering the average age of the squad is a priority.
Not Just Beukema – Inter Milan Target Five Defenders To Replace Francesco Acerbi
In recent weeks, the name of Sam Beukema has risen to the top of Inter’s list of targets to replace Acerbi.
The 26-year-old Bologna defender has fully convinced Inter with his performances this season.

However, it is not just Beukema. In addition to the Dutchman, the Nerazzurri have also been monitoring Lazio defender Mario Gila.
Then, there have been Udinese’s Jaka Bijol and Atalanta’s Isak Hien.
Lastly, FCIN note, Inter are also looking at 19-year-old Fiorentina defender Pietro Commuzzo. Napoli had made a big push to sign Commuzzo in January, but failed to complete a deal.
