Inter Milan rejected the idea of signing out-of-favour Man United forward Marcus Rashford during the January transfer window.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInter1908.
The January transfer window has now come to an end.
During the window, Inter made just one signing. Nicola Zalewski arrived on loan from Roma, as a replacement for Tajon Buchanan.
However, as Sky revealed, there were some opportunities in attack for Inter.
Inter Milan Rejected Opportunity To Sign Man United Outcast Marcus Rashford
The big reason why Inter did not sign any forwards in January was that they did not offload any.
Had Marko Arnautovic or Joaquin Correa headed for the exit door, it may have been a different story.

However, both remained, so there was no space in the squad for another striker.
But that doesn’t mean that there weren’t opportunities, Sky note.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Marco Asensio was one player on the Nerazzurri’s radar. Reportedly, he would have been the priority if Arnautovic or Correa had left.
But there were also a couple of big names who left Premier League clubs who were offered to Inter.
One was Joao Felix from Chelsea, who eventually joined AC Milan.
But then Marcus Rashford is another player whose representatives approached Inter.
However, the Nerazzurri rejected the idea out of hand. Among other issues, the Englishman’s wages would have simply been too high.
Therefore, Rashford ended up going to Aston Villa on loan instead.
