Nerazzurri board member Andrea Zanetton feels that Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta is “fantastic” and has an “extraordinary CV.”
Zanetto gave his thoughts at the Financial Time Business of Football Summit in London, via FCInterNews. He also stressed that “financial sustainability is fundamental” for Inter.
Beppe Marotta has been Inter Milan President since May of last year.
The 67-year-old has been a key figure at Inter since long before then, however.
Marotta arrived at the Nerazzurri in late 2018. This followed his departure from Juventus.
Inter made Marotta their CEO of Sport. He swiftly proceeded to mastermind the Nerazzurri’s strategy in the transfer market.
It hasn’t been easy for Marotta at Inter. The club have had well-known financial problems that have forced them to make big sales, and limited spending severely.
But Marotta has found a way. As he had done at Juventus, the veteran executive relied on free transfer signings and cut price deals to build Inter’s squad.
And as he had done at the Bianconeri, Marotta has guided Inter to the summit of Italian (and European) football.
Under Marotta’s guidance, Inter have won the Serie A title twice. They have also won the Coppa Italia twice, and the Supercoppa Italiana on three occasions.
Meanwhile, Inter have reached the Champions League and Europa League finals.
Zanetton: “Inter Milan President Beppe Marotta Is Fantastic”
Inter board member Zanetton said that “We have a fantastic President, Giuseppe Marotta.”
“He has an extraordinary CV. A track record of competing for trophies like the Scudetto and the Champions League.”

Meanwhile, Zanetto also gave his thoughts on the corporate approach of Inter.
“It’s important to maintain the sporting front,” said the Nerazzurri board member.
“But financial sustainability is fundamental. Not just for Inter, but for any club.”
“The time when hundreds of millions of euros in losses could be racked up is now over,” Zanetton argued. “The regulators are trying to put a stop to it./”
“Obviously, we’re in the entertainment sector. We have to try and please the fans and produce a great product.”
“But in the end, we also have to make money,” Zanetton made clear.
