Inter Milan have been in contact with the agents of Genoa defender Koni De Winter.

This according to Belgian football journalist Sacha Tavolieri. He reports in a tweet that the Nerazzurri’s interest stretches back months, and that Genoa’s €30 million price tag “doesn’t scare” them.

Young defender Koni De Winter has been enjoying an outstanding season for Genoa.

The Ligurian club signed the Belgian on a permanent basis last summer. He had previously been at the Marassi on loan from Juventus, having also had a loan spell at Empoli.

And this season has really seen De Winter become a mainstay of the Grifone defense. First under Alberto Gilardino, and then under Patrick Vieira.

According to Tavolieri, Inter have been in contact with De Winter’s agents.

And in fact, these stretch back several months, he reports.

Tavolieri confirms that Genoa would want a fee of at least €30 million for Koni De Winter.

However, he suggests that Inter would not consider this too high for the young defender.
