Yann Bisseck and Stefan de Vrij are vying to start for Inter Milan in this evening’s Serie A match against Monza.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi is firming up his idea for the starting lineup against Monza this evening.

The Nerazzurri coach his hardly going to take three points for granted by playing a weakened team.

Inter failed to Monza in the first meeting of this season in September. In general, the Brianzoli have been a bit of a bogey team for them since coming up to Serie A in 2022.

But at the same time, Inzaghi will make at least a couple of changes.

And one of the notable ones could come in defense.

Against Feyenoord in midweek, Inzaghi went with a back three of Benjamin Pavard, Stefan de Vrij, and Francesco Acerbi.

Alessandro Bastoni started on the left flank, where there have been no players available due to an injury crisis.

According to the Corriere, Bastoni will once again start at wingback today.

But Inzaghi may still tinker with the back three, the newspaper anticipates.

24-year-old Yann Bisseck is a very versatile defender. he has proven capable of covering any of the three positions in Inter’s back three.

And according to the Corriere, Bisseck could start in the centre of the back three this evening against Monza.

The newspaper anticipate that Inzaghi is choosing between either the German or Stefan de Vrij for the role.
