Inter Milan have the second-lowest wage bill in the Champions League quarterfinals, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid top of the pile.

This according to Italian outlet Calcio e Finanza. They note that of the last eight in this season’s edition of Europe’s top club competition, only Borussia Dortmund have a lower wage bill than Inter.

Inter Milan are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri progressed to the last eight by beating Feyenoord in the round of sixteen.

And Inter have not spent a fortune on player wages in order to do so.

In fact, as Calcio e Finanza highlight, the Nerazzurri have one of the lowest wage bills of the teams remaining.

Inter Milan’s total gross wage bill for this season is €141.6 million.

That is some way ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s wage bill of €113.6 million.

However, the other six teams are all ahead of Inter, as Calcio e Finanza note.

Bayern Munich, Inter’s quarterfinal opponents, have the highest wage bill of the eight teams left at €275.8 million.

Then, Real Madrid are just behind the Bavarians. Their total wage bill is €273.8 million.

Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile are in third with €221.8 million.

Behind the Parisians are Arsenal and Barcelona, with €204.7 million and €201.4 million respectively.

And then Aston Villa have a wage bill a few million euros higher than Inter’s at €146.9 million.
