Lautaro Martinez looked to be hitting top form at just yesterday’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Cagliari.
As TuttoMercatoWeb highlight, the Argentine received glowing praise in the player ratings for the match across Italian media.
Facing Cagliari just seems to get the best out of Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez.
The Rossoblu are the first team that Martinez ever scored against in a Nerazzurri shirt.
And the Argentine hasn’t looked back. Either in general, or in fixtures against Cagliari.
Lautaro Martinez Shines At Just The Right Time In Inter Milan 3-1 Cagliari

Martinez was one of the players who kept his place in the Inter starting eleven against Cagliari yesterday, having also started against Bayern Munich in midweek.
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi decided to rotate his squad significantly for the clash. But Martinez was one player who he continued to rely upon.
And the 27-year-old vindicated his coach’s decision.
Martinez bagged yet another goal against Cagliar.
And more broadly, the Inter captain looked sharp and hungry. He led the line with intensity and enthusiasm, setting the tone for the team’s attack and linking up well with Marko Arnautovic.
And this come’s just days after Martinez’s virtuoso display and stunning Trivela goal against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
With the second leg against Bayern just on the way, and six more huge matches in the Serie A title race run-in (plus a Coppa Italia semifinal second leg clash with AC Milan), Inter will feel that this is exactly the right time for their captain to start hitting this kind of form.
Once again, it is Cagliari who have really inspired something in Martinez.
