Parma are holding out for a fee of Inter Milan and AC Milan linked defender Giovanni Leoni this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
It is certainly no secret that Giovanni Leoni is attracting transfer interest.
Parma only signed the teenage defender last summer. Reportedly they paid Sampdoria a fee of around €7 million.
However, that bet looks to have paid off in a big way for the Gialloblu.
Giovanni Leoni enjoyed an outstanding season with Parma. Particularly towards the end of the campaign.
The 18-year-old looked extremely comfortable at the heart of Parma’s defense as they avoided relegation under Cristian Chivu.
Parma Holding Out For €30M For Inter Milan & AC Milan Target Giovanni Leoni

Chivu has pushed to make Leoni a primary target for Inter in defense this summer transfer window.
However, at the same time, the Nerazzurri are not the only club with an interest in the 19-year-old’s signature.
Reportedly, Inter’s city rivals AC Milan are also very keen on signing Giovanni Leoni.
However, the Italy Under-21 international certainly will not come cheap.
According to the Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, Parma are looking to make a big profit on Leoni’s sale. They want to bring in more than four times what they paid for him just a year ago.
The Corriere anticipate that Parma want a fee of at least €30 million for Leoni,
The Leoni deal should have been wrapped up early for €15-20 million, but as usual, we drag things out, and other clubs get involved, and the price goes up…. Anyone saying he’s not worth €20 million clearly hasn’t watched him play! At a push, I’d offer a ‘take it or leave it’ €18 million plus Sebastiano Esposito, but to be honest, I think Oaktree will use paying off the bond as an excuse to stop spending on transfers…. We just made nearly €200 million this season, and had a special window open up for clubs in the Club World Cup….. And did nothing!!! Oaktree don’t seem to understand that without investing on the pitch, they’ll struggle to sell the club…..
Christian Mosquera is much better defender than him. inter must not leave him.
We need to move on from this idiotic valuations of parma players, they value their players like they have won the CL. There are same good options for less money, Mosquera for Leoni or Ivanovic for Bonny
