Premier League champions Liverpool have joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Parma youngster Giovanni Leoni.
According to Sport Mediaset via FCInterNews, the Reds are considering hijacking Inter’s pursuit of the 18-year-old.
Inter Milan have been hot on the center-back’s tail since the beginning of the summer transfer window.
However, the San Siro giants have struggled to find an agreement with Parma due to the Crusaders’ high demands.
Indeed, Parma won’t sell Giovanni Leoni for less than €40 million.

Don’t know where this is coming from- maybe Parma trying to fabricate interest- but there is absolutely nothing in the English press with regards to Leoni and Liverpool…. At the end of the day, we should just propose our bid, and see what the response is… We keep hearing he’s the priority target, and the player that Chivu has specifically requested, yet we haven’t actually made a concrete bid for the player? Put a bid on the table, so we know whether or not we are wasting our time….
