Juventus are again ready to challenge bitter rivals Inter Milan for the signature of Parma starlet Giovanni Leoni.

According to Gazzetta di Parma via FCInterNews, Inter’s passive approach has invited the Turin giants back in the race.

Giovanni Leoni has been the subject of intense rumors this summer.

Widely considered among Europe’s most promising defenders, Leoni looks destined for a high-profile move.

Meanwhile, Parma have set a substantial €40 million price tag for the 18-year-old.

Cristian Chivu has urged Inter to sign Leoni, identifying his former Crusaders pupil as his top defensive target.

However, Inter’s €30m bid failed to match Parma’s request.

Furthermore, Carlos Cuesta’s men rejected Inter’s attempt to include Sebastiano Esposito as a makeweight in the deal.

Parma’s stubborn stance has seen the Nerazzurri walk away from the negotiating table.

Despite the momentary standstill, Leoni remains firmly in Inter’s crosshairs.

Yet, Juventus have spotted a window of opportunity and could swoop in to steal the talented youngster.

Indeed, Igor Tudor is an admirer of Leoni and wants to lure him to Turin.
