Inter Milan ace Marcus Thuram has a point to prove heading into the 2025/26 season after a rough run of form this calendar year.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman faces increased competition for a starting berth at San Siro.

Marcus Thuram enjoyed a stellar start to life in Serie A, helping Inter win a landmark 20th Scudetto in his first year in Italy.

In doing so, he became one of the most influential first-team figures at Giuseppe Meazza.

Furthermore, he hit the ground running at the start of last season, even outshining captain Lautaro Martinez.

Thuram netted 12 goals in the opening 18 league matches last season.

However, his form declined sharply since the calendar year flipped to 2025.

Indeed, he only found the net twice in 15 top-flight outings this year.

Yet, his blistering European form offered a saving grace, even though he flopped in the Champions League final.

With Inter set to switch to a 3-4-2-1, Thuram must return to his best to solidify his first-team status.
