Daniele Adani has hailed Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu for turning the team’s fortunes around after an unenviable start to the season.

Speaking to Domenica Sportiva via FCInterNews, Adani credited the 44-year-old with helping the Nerazzurri rediscover their top form.

Chivu’s tenure at San Siro started with a whimper rather than a bang.

Despite demolishing Torino 5-0 on the opening Serie A weekend, Inter went on to lose consecutive league matches.

However, the Italian giants have turned a corner after a controversial 4-3 defeat at Juventus last month.

Indeed, they’ve since assembled a six-game winning streak in all competitions, bookended by a 1-0 win at Roma on Saturday.

Rising star Ange-Yoan Bonny stole the show again, netting a sixth-minute winner in the capital.

Furthermore, the Frenchman has maintained his rich vein of form under Cristian Chivu, who coached him at Parma last season.

Meanwhile, the Romanian tactician impress in the dugout, turning Inter into a formidable force again.

“I am not surprised by Inter, whom I placed in the top tier from the beginning,” Adani said.

“I see the credibility of a team that knows its path.

“The coach has settled in immediately, and even the players coming off the bench are responding.”

Then, he assessed Inter’s early winner at the Stadio Olimpico.

“The goal is a play halfway between Roma’s mistake and Inter’s skill between Barella and Bonny,” Adani added.

Fresh off their fourth successive win in Serie A, Inter must now turn their attention to the upcoming European commitments.

Indeed, Chivu’s charges will take on Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in their third Champions League outing tomorrow.

After beating Ajax and Slavia Prague without conceding, they are in a perfect position to make it three wins out of three.

However, there’s no room for complacency.
